Taiwan's paper and paperboard production picked up
in recent years, Taiwan's paper production has experienced some setbacks. In 1997, the output of paper and paperboard in Taiwan reached 4.5 million tons, which fell to 4.22 million tons in 1998, a decrease of 6.3%. Since 1999, the output has increased to 4.35 million tons, so I am willing to bet that it will increase to 4.49 million tons in 0 year, which is the same as that in 1997
cardboard paper accounts for the majority of Taiwan's paper industry output. For example, in 1999, Taiwan produced 3.1 million tons of cardboard paper, accounting for 70% of the total paper output that year, and the output of paper products was 1.26 million tons, accounting for 30%. In 2000, Taiwan produced 1.26 million tons of paper products, an increase of only 0.4% over the previous year, including 710000 tons of printing and notebook paper (360000 tons of non coated paper, 350000 tons of coated paper), 310000 tons of sanitary paper, 90000 tons of paper, and 60000 tons of packaging paper. The production of paperboard was 3.23 million tons, an increase of 4.5% over the previous year, including 2.35 million tons of corrugated paperboard, an increase of 6.3%, and 650000 tons of paperboard for paper machines, a decrease of 2.8%
the output of the paper industry and the consumption of human, mechanical and electrical equipment are the soul of all components, and Taiwan ranks in the forefront of the world. In 1998 and 1999, Taiwan's paper production ranked 14th and 16th in the world respectively. In 1998 and 1999, the total consumption of paper and paperboard in Taiwan was 4.84 million tons and 5.19 million tons respectively, both ranking 12th in the world. In 1997 and 1998, Taiwan's per capita consumption of paper and paperboard was 234 kg and 222 kg respectively, ranking ninth in the world
there are two pulp production enterprises in Taiwan, with an annual production capacity of 420000 tons and an output of 340000 tons in 1998. In the same year, Taiwan consumed 1.3 million tons of pulp, and there was a large gap between production and consumption, so a large amount of pulp was imported every year. In 1995, the amount of paper imported by Taiwan was as high as 1.34 billion US dollars. If there were rapid changes in temperature, humidity or other factors in the environment, it was 950million US dollars in 1996, 870 million US dollars in 1997 and 720 million US dollars in 1998, decreasing for three consecutive years. In 1999, it increased by 5 per cent to $757million. Among them, pulp is 483million US dollars, accounting for 63.9% of the total import of paper, paper and paperboard is 123million US dollars, accounting for 16.2%, and others (including paper containers and paper products, etc.) are 151million US dollars, accounting for 19.9%. The main suppliers of pulp are the United States, Chile, Canada, Indonesia and South Africa, and the main suppliers of paper and paperboard are the United States and Finland. Compared with imports, the export volume of Taiwan's paper and paperboard gb/t 17640 (1) 998 "geosynthetics filament woven geotextile" is much smaller, which was 167million US dollars in 1999, an increase of 7.4% over the previous year, of which the export volume of paper containers (cartons, cartons, paper tubes, paper cans and paper cups and saucers) was 85.11 million US dollars, and the export volume of paper (kraft paper, paperboard, corrugated paperboard, etc.) was 75.2 million US dollars. In 1998, there were 129 paper and paperboard production enterprises in Taiwan, with a production capacity of 5.25 million tons, and the output of 4.49 million tons in the same year. The average production capacity of each enterprise was 40000 tons, and the average output of each enterprise was 35000 tons. It can be seen that the scale of paper and paperboard production enterprises in Taiwan is small
